Dr. Wattenhofer is co-owner of Vision Source Specialists in Rapid City. She has practiced optometry in Rapid City since 1998, starting as a sublease doctor next to a national chain. She spent two years working with an ophthalmologist prior to opening our downtown location in 2011. Dr. Wattenhofer attended Black Hills State University and Pacific University. She graduated with distinction, earning her Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Wattenhofer has dedicated over 500 hours in post-doctoral education at the University of Western States on the overall health and wellness of the body and its effects on the eyes. She attended specialized training at the Dry Eye Institute in North Carolina in 2018 and Dry Eye University in Denver in 2020. She specializes in dry eye testing and treatment through our Ocular Surface Disease Clinic at Vision Source Specialists.
